If we keep cutting down trees for paper, in the future we will have no more! So RECYCLING is a very important thing to do. It's not that difficult. We can show you how!

Taster Visit to George Hicks School
On Tuesday 9th March the year 6’s from Bodden Town, North Side and East End went to GHHS and took a tour around the school. A group and I went around Heritage and our tour guide was named Franklin. We saw people swimming for PE.
The George Hicks visit was awesome even though at first I was nervous. I met my buddy for the first period, it was maths and the teacher’s name was Ms Ashby. I was seated next to my buddy.
When I got there I was very nervous, then I started to get happy. I learned about the four different schools, the classes and what they do there. In wood shop they make different wood items and today a girl made a heart shaped key holder. It was very cute! I can’t wait till I go in all the classes, but I surely don’t want to go to the suspension unit. My partner’s names were Feliciana and Jamal. After that we had a snack and go on the bus. I had a wonderful time at the George Hicks Campus.
I was so nervous, but we got to the school just on time. My whole class got name tags to put on their shirts and then we went to the hall. Mrs Blackman spoke to us about what we would be doing for the next two hours. All the children that had the number four were going to Heritage School. The girl that guided us was Kristina, she took us all over. Then we went to break and I got a pattie and a yummy drink. I had a smile on my face because I was very excited to come to George Hicks. Mrs Blackman gave a short speech and thanked us for coming. Then we went on the bus back to school.
I have to admit I felt a little nervous at first, but it was the tour of my life! I got to see all of the classrooms inside and out. My tour guide was a very tall girl. Then I got a chance to go in a math class. Finally we made it back to the hall. After the tour I felt very comfortable with the whole middle school stuff.
